• Vhyper Partners

    Hyperloop One

Hyperloop One is one of the newest Vhyper Partners. We are extremely grateful for their support and look forward to continuing our relationship in the future!

    Cooley LLP

Cooley LLP became the first Vhyper Partner at design weekend, where they presented us with the Cooley GO award. We are extremely excited to have Cooley on our team!

    Orbital ATK

Orbital has been generous enough to donate two pressure vessels for use in our propulsion system. These large, low mass tanks are critical in winning the competition.

    Performance Associates

Performance Associates was one of the first Vhyper sponsors and they have been with us since the beginning. We are extremely appreciative of everything they have helped with from funding to mentorship.

Department of Biomedical Engineering and Mechanics

The BEAM departments has several students on the Hyperloop Team and was one of the first departments at Virginia Tech to get on board the hyperloop with us!

Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

The Bradley department of ECE at Virginia Tech has a large number of students on the team and has contributed to our team from the Hodge fund set up by Dan Hodge, Head of the Bradley Department from 1981 to 1989.

Futek has provided the team with high quality subsidized sensors to use in our test rigs. Without these sensors, we would not be able to optimize our systems.

Department of Aerospace and Ocean Engineering

Virginia Tech AOE department has been supporting us in many ways since the foundation of the project. From managing our finances to donating testing and construction space, AOE has earned Vhyper Partner status!

    Department of Mechanical Engineering

A large number of students on the team are from Mechanical Engineering Department. This department has supported us financially and helped us with purchasing components.

    Enriching lives through innovation

Huntsman supplied the team multiple times with their incredible material, Renshape. This high density foam was the primary material used to create the skin molds used to layup our skin panels.

    Ware Lab

The Warelab has supported us from the beginning. Dewey Spangler, the lab manager and our advisor, and the Warelab has worked with us through our entire build phase to ensure we have the tools we need to build and present our pod.

    Howard Aviation

    Lake Shore Cryotronics

    Advancing Science

Lake Shore Cryotronics partnered with Vhyper, providing our team with a high-end gaussmeter and 3-axis probe. The measurement and coordination of our magnetic fields is critical to the performance of our passive magnet systems, and we are excited to be working with Lake Shore.

TechPad is a technology focused coworking and hacker community in Blacksburg, VA. They were kind enough to provide us with space to work, and we couldn't be more excited to be included in such an innovative environment.

    Inertial Labs

Inertial Labs is a designer, developer, and manufacturer of position and orientation tracking systems based on the combination of inertial sensors with a variety of other sensing technologies. They supplied our inertial measurement unit, and we are very honored to have their support!

    Apex Systems CIE

    Pamplin School of Business

    Express Prototyping

    VT Fire

VT Fire was one of our earlier sponsors, helping to cast our first iteration suspension and stability.

  • Gold Level Sponsors

    E.V. Roberts

    Superior engineered materials. Impeccable support.

E.V. Roberts was kind enough to supply us with their line of Resin Formulators products for our frame. Without this resin, our pod's skin would not be able to hold its shape.

    Build LAB

The Build Lab, located in Bishop-Favrao Hall at Virginia Tech, and run by Dr. David Goldsmith, has been an integral part of the creation of our pod's skin. Dr. Goldsmith provided us with the lab's CNC machine, allowing us to manufacture the molds used to layup our skin panels.

Hy-Test has been an integral part of our pressurized systems, offering to hydro statically test any pressure tanks we have. They ensure that these systems are safe and reliable!
